AS I reported last week, Boeing was having issues with deliveries out of Charleston. The flightline has been increasingly crowded as Dreamliners are rolled out of the main assembly building 88-30 and parked in every spot that is available including the Charleston Delivery Center.
A source has indicated that supplier delays are now affecting at least 6 aircraft at Charleston while another 2 are delayed at the request of customers.
The aircraft that are affected by supplier delays include Shanghai Airlines (seats), United Airlines (seats), Eva Air (seats), and ANA (engines). Hainan Airlines has requested a delay to delivery for an unknown reason, they have four 787s in Charleston waiting delivery with another 2 at Everett which I assume may also be delayed.
A 787-9 for Air China is sitting in storage for an unknown reason. The aircraft was assembled over 5 months ago but hasn’t had it engines installed.
Lastly, I’ve updated the 787 firing order to reflect final assembly of line numbers 842 to 860.

Uresh, is LN 821 a 788 and 822 a 78J? If so, the entry for City Location for 821 should be Everett.
Wouldn’t it make sense to rent some space at an empty airfield and park those with engines there? Do you see this as a likely scenario?
Wonder if the Blond man in the capital is having a efekt🙁 Sory to say but Emirates do have eyes. So it might be that the A350 is getting more attractiv.......
Most programs are based on International coorberations.
Uresh, slight correction to your tables. You show line 749 (Air New Zealand) as having no engines in the Notes column, however it had its B1 today.
Your firing order is incorrect just as a heads up.
Some updates for your 787 speadsheet
#729 is B-1133
#743 is A6-BMA
#745 is B-1138
#746 is B-1140
#747 is B-1119
#754 is A6-BMB
#755 is G-CKWN
#756 is N796AV

Thank you David!
Both Air New Zealand ships now have engines installed.
Hainan having liquidity issues - they had trouble paying for some Airbus planes recently. Assume it has to deal with cash on documents issue.
I am wondering whether the 787 delivery delays are related to the US-China Trade War.
No I think the delays for the Chinese carriers are varied. There are supplier issues for some and financing issues for others (Hainan). It is interestingto note that Boeing is still continuing to assemble fly and test all these airplanes.
If they were NTUs they would be quickly taken up, like the Royal Jordanian NTU. Someone will want to jump the line.
Can't believe Shanghai Airlines finally flew - guess the seats made it - another new customer.
When they are delayed by seats, does that mean it's one seat manufacturer or multiple? And are they manufactured locally or is there still travel time involved that would contribute to this delay? This stuff is fascinating.
