Hi Uresh Some questions: Is it clear why the LN29 aircraft at Lackland AFB has been there for so long? (7 months) Is this the amount of time it takes to rework these aircraft? (At least from LN7 to LN29) Or has the aircraft not been worked on constantly throughout this period? And, which was the last aircraft to receive the "side of body" modifications?
Got news about first Air India B787-8 which will be on display in Indian Air Show from march 12-16 with full Air India livery, interiors etc. The aircraft is supposed to configure with best seats.
Hi Uresh, Brendan Kearney is reporting that LN46, ZA237 has moved to position # 4 in Charleston, and has engines attached. http://www.postandcourier.com/news/2012/feb/27/scs-first-dreamliner-moving-smoothly-through-boein/
According to Brendan, the next Air India Frame (LN # 54) is still in position 1 as Uresh's spreadsheet shows, and there is another frame in position 0, but Brendan did not know the know the Line #.
Joostdg, According to Brendan, the next Air India Frame (LN 54) is still in position # 1, as Uresh's spreadsheet shows. In addition there is a frame in position 0, LN unknown.
I thought they were ramping up to 10 per month by the end of this year. Now they are saying by the end of 2013. Am I mistaken or did they change their forecast?

ReplyDeleteRa,
ReplyDeleteYou are mistaken. It has always been their plan to be at 10/month by end of 2013. They'll be at 5/month by the end of this year.
